課程概覧

呢一課係 core syllabus 4大課題其中一課。內容可以分為三部份,同學完成左課程之後,你就會學識:

Redox reaction

  1. 可以用 gain or lose of oxygen, hydrogen, electron 同一個 element 嘅 oxidation number嘅改變去界定一個 chemical reaction 係唔係一個 redox reaction。
  2. 點樣去 assign 一個 element 响唔同 compounds 嘅 oxidation number。
  3. 乜嘢係 oxidising agent 同 reducing agent,而一啲 common 嘅 OA 同 RA 响 redox reaction 會有啲乜嘢 chemical change。
  4. Electrochemical series 係將唔同嘅 oxidising agents,根據佢哋嘅 oxidising power 而排列嘅一個表。
  5. 點樣 balance redox equation。

Simple chemical cells

  1. 乜嘢係 primary 同 secondary dry cell 同例子。
  2. Simple chemical cell,包括用2個唔同嘅 metals 同一種 electrolyte 同埋由2個 metal-metal ion 嘅 half-cells 所組成嘅 chemical cells 嘅 chemical change。
  3. Salt bridge 嘅做法同埋用途。
  4. 一個 chemical cell 所產生出嚟嘅 voltage 係同兩個 half cells 响 electrochemical series 嘅位置差距成正比。
  5. 點樣做一個用 inert electrodes 做嘅 chemical cell。
  6. 估計一個 chemical cell 嘅 chemical change,邊一個 electrode 係 positive / negative electrode,cathode / anode,電子响 external circuit 流動嘅方向,同埋每個 half cell 嘅 observable change。
  7. alkaline hydrogen fuel cell 嘅原理同埋 chemical changes。

Electrolysis

Electrolysis 係 chemical cell and redox reaction 嘅其中一部份,雖然 electrolysis 未必年年考,但係出親呢一部份嘅題目類型都係大同小異。大部份都係問 preferential discharge of ions。上完呢個課程之後呢,同學就可以輕輕鬆鬆學識

  1. Electrolysis 係一個用電去分解一個 compound 嘅過程。
  2. 點樣 construct 一個 electrolytic cell。
  3. 用不同嘅例子,dilute sulphuric acid, 唔同 concentrations 嘅 sodium chloride 同埋 copper(II) sulphate solution 去解釋 position in ECS,concentrations 同nature of electrode 點樣影響一個 ion 响 cathode 同 anode 嘅 preferential doscharge。
  4. electrolysis 响工業上有乜應用同埋對環境嘅影響。

呢個系列係專為一啲願意付出時間、心機去為未來前途打拼嘅同學而設!响課程嘅數小時𥚃面,我會同同學一齊深度探討每個課題嘅要點,從零開始帶領住同學一步一步將所有要識嘅概念學會。課程均附有一份精美筆記,筆記內容除咗用精簡嘅文字表達之外,仲附有大量 infographics,幫助同學加強理解同記憶。加上適量嘅例題、習題加以解明,亦能提升同學嘅答題技巧。有咗概念加上技巧,同學應付考試,就自然得心應手。

關於導師

Winter Sir 自從取得化學哲學碩士MPhil 之後,便加入教育行列。在一所英文中學任教了超過二十年。任化學科科主任亦超過十年。曾任公開考試閲卷員。
但......因為教得太耐,越教越覺得悶,越冇動力!不安於現狀嘅我,決定响五年前,開始拍以動畫形式進行嘅教學片。懶係雄心壯志,誓要將整個DSE 課程拍成動畫放上 YouTube,可以俾學生隨時隨地睇。經過幾年嘅努力,我所設立嘅 YouTube Channel chemchemday 訂閱人數已經超越4300。所拍嘅短片亦超過666 條。
近年接觸咗翻轉教學 flipped learning 之後,更加成為 flipped learning 嘅狂熱份子,燃燒返我對教育嘅熱誠,唔想再做教育界嘅老海鮮!希望可以將翻轉教學呢一種教學模式推廣到其他學校。

好清晰!釐清好多concept!中間一些練習可以令我更掌握出來的result、哪個是reducing agent 及 oxidizing agent 等.每一步的思路都有簡易明白的解釋,容易跟上。很值得報讀!

因為chem 不少的反應都有關顏色 阿sir 也好好是以彩色的圖顯示
但note 都印成黑白 會浪費了精心準備的圖
