The Reading Skills: Paper 1 精讀班 (2027/28DSE)

The tutor lesson was truly exceptional and exceeded all expectations. The tutor's ability to break down complex concepts into manageable, easy-to-understand steps was remarkable. Their patience and dedication created a supportive learning environment where questions were encouraged and thoroughly addressed. It was evident that they were not only knowledgeable but also passionate about the subject, which made the session engaging and inspiring.

The lesson was well-structured, with a clear progression that kept everything organized and easy to follow. The tutor tailored the content to my specific needs, ensuring that I grasped the material fully before moving forward. They also provided practical examples and real-world applications, making the concepts more relatable and memorable.

What stood out the most was the tutor's genuine interest in my success. They consistently provided encouragement, constructive feedback, and helpful tips to improve my understanding and confidence. Their enthusiasm was contagious, turning what could have been an intimidating session into an enjoyable and highly productive experience.

Overall, this tutor lesson was not just informative but transformative. It left me feeling more confident, motivated, and better equipped to tackle challenges in the subject area. I’m incredibly grateful for the effort and care the tutor put into making the session impactful.

During the first part of the lesson I felt insecure. I temporarily lost my focus because of the new
circumstances and because many of the students arrived late. As a result, the lesson did not start
well. It was choppy and disjointed.
Once I got into the lesson, I felt more comfortable. When we began the exercises and the students
started participating, things got better. The laughter and interactions at the end humanized what
had started out to be a structured, dry lesson. I could actually sense that learning was taking
place and that I was directing that learning.
From this experience I learned that I need to create a more open teaching style. I must also
remember to spend less time on explanations and get right into the practice activities. They were
more effective than reading the story and underlining the prepositions. I also realized more than
ever the importance of being flexible. Changes may be necessary in the best of lesson plans.

今日上完Mr J嘅lesson真係大開眼界,呢一套以linguistics作為方向同框架嚟拆解文法嘅系統真係好有用,絕對提升咗我寫作嘅時候嘅efficiency同accuracy。我自己一直都希望可以為學習英文建立一套系統,今次機緣巧合搵到Mr J嘅course直接教咗我建立呢套系統嘅方法,為我持續地build up、鞏固英文嘅基礎and beyond有好大嘅幫助。多謝Mr J同團隊為我哋提供呢一個 wonderful course!

阿sir講解得好透徹，用好簡單的方法教授答題技巧。本來T,F 同埋NG傻傻分唔清，揀答案嘅時候要諗好耐先揀得落手。上完堂之後，我終於分得清要點揀T,F and NG。 Mr J嘅paper1 精讀班講得好清楚 佢會係教完一個方法 再慢慢咁教再我地去應用喺題目度 一題一題咁教。佢又會係最後俾時間我地去問問題 又會俾反優惠我地！

有驚喜！真正學到Paper 1 skills 點樣拆題點樣處理不同題型，skills 亦都有用，搵答案會搵得快咗。整堂無廢話，唔會自high sell 自己寫靚字靚句，務實睇HKEAA 數字去判斷咩先係重要，課堂上亦有提到 Paper 3 應該著重搵齊points, 以marking scheme 帶動去LAO (Language Appropriacy Organization) 去評分，唔似日校老師憑感覺俾分，呢樣野夠落地。總體嚟講，一個字「讚」！

成個課程極有效率 算係顛覆左我對答一啲問題嘅想像 當我好苦惱啲問題點樣答嗰陣發現其實有一啲更加快嘅方法去搶先快過人去做完份卷🤔無論對於有底定冇底嘅人都好適用 好似阿sir講咁 究竟要勤力低分定聰明高分真係好取決於上堂嘅技巧

我認為這個課程非常有用。雖然上課時間不長，但是許多技巧都能夠用易於理解的例子進行解釋，學到了許多知識點卻不會因為長時間學習而感到疲勞。課堂非常充實，包含了做卷一的不同技巧和表達方式，而且這些知識是日校老師完全不會教授的。

本人覺得講的好有邏輯，清晰易明，導師講個D skills都好精，都係對症下藥，而且同學有問題都會一一解答，導師都幾nice^_^雖然速度快，但內容非常之重要，所以全程都要好集中，整個課程都唔錯，本人底子差都可以吸收到，希望導師推薦嘅課程可以用得著喇

上完呢堂之後先知應付英文paper 1原來能力唔重要，最重要嘅技係技巧。本身英文都唔係好好，擔心兩年入面好難提升英文能力，但係上完呢堂之後對dse有多啲信心，因為對dse嘅marking scheme了解咗更多，學到做各種題型嘅技巧，而且真係應用到，好充實！

Mr. J教既skills對於我嚟講非常新穎，絕大部分都係學校唔會教既技巧嚟，對我嚟講完全係另一種體驗，以往我認為Paper 1要考得高分，英文底子一定要好好或者係一啲ABC嚟，上完呢堂就發現最緊要係識唔識一啲skills，多謝Mr. J今堂教咗咁多skills！
